Description

Dubbel IPA eller Imperial IPA är en vidareutveckling av amerikansk IPA och var den första ölstilen att ta steget till Dubbel eller Imperial nivå. Ölstilen karakteriseras av kraftiga smak- och aromhumlegivor och en mycket tuff beska. DIPA bör konsumeras relativt ung för att det karakteristiskt fräscha humleintrycket ska upplevas. De stora sena humlegivorna bidrar ofta till en lätt svavlig ton i doft och smak. Torrhumlas ofta.

Examples: Russian River Pliny the Elder 8.0 %, Avery Majaraja 10.3 %, Bell’s Hop Slam 10.0 %, Stone Ruination IPA 7.7 %, Dogfish head 90 minute IPA 9.0 %, Brewdog Hardcore IPA 9.2 %.
